Role Description The Kitchen & Bath Designer / Materials Project Coordinator is responsible for creating accurate, functional, and visually compelling kitchen and bathroom remodel designs while coordinating material quotes, purchasing, and supplier communication. This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional customer experiences by producing high-quality 3D renderings that support sales and ensuring materials are ordered accurately and on schedule. Working closely with design consultants, project managers, field supervisors, clients, and suppliers, the successful candidate will ensure every project is properly designed, quoted, and executed from concept through installation. This position requires strong design expertise, exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple remodeling projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities - Design & Space Planning - Create complete kitchen and bathroom remodel designs using 2020 Design software. - Develop cabinet layouts, floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and construction documents. - Review and interpret job site measurements to produce accurate, buildable designs. - Design attractive, functional spaces that align with client needs, project scope, and budget. - Revise designs based on client feedback, field conditions, supplier requirements, and project manager recommendations. - Verify design accuracy before materials are quoted, ordered, or installed. - Coordinate design details including cabinetry, countertops, vanities, storage solutions, tile, hardware, fixtures, trim, and related remodeling materials. - Material Quoting & Supplier Coordination - Request and review quotes from cabinet manufacturers, countertop fabricators, plumbing suppliers, tile vendors, and other material providers. - Compare supplier proposals for pricing, specifications, completeness, and lead times. - Communicate with vendors to resolve design questions, pricing discrepancies, product availability, and specifications. - Maintain organized records of customer selections, quotations, specifications, and supplier confirmations. - Ensure all materials align with approved designs, customer selections, and company quality standards. - Material Ordering & Procurement - Place orders for cabinets, countertops, fixtures, tile, hardware, and other remodeling materials with approved suppliers. - Verify dimensions, finishes, accessories, quantities, pricing, and delivery schedules before submitting orders. - Track material orders from purchase through delivery. - Coordinate with project managers to ensure materials arrive on time for installation. - Communicate order updates, delays, backorders, and supplier issues to internal teams. - Minimize costly ordering errors through thorough review of designs, specifications, and purchase documentation. - Collaboration & Communication - Partner closely with design consultants, project managers, production staff, field supervisors, installers, and suppliers throughout each project. - Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and internal team members. - Participate in design reviews, project handoffs, and coordination meetings. - Proactively identify and resolve design, material, and ordering issues. - Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused work environment. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in kitchen and bathroom design, cabinetry design, interior remodeling, or a related field. - Proficiency with 2020 Design software. - Experience creating cabinet layouts, floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings. - Strong understanding of kitchen and bathroom remodeling principles, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, tile, and related materials. - Experience coordinating material quotes, purchasing, or supplier communications. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Requirements - Experience working for a residential remodeling contractor or design-build firm. - Familiarity with cabinet manufacturers and remodeling suppliers. - Experience reviewing architectural drawings and construction documents. - Knowledge of purchasing, procurement, or inventory coordination. - Experience with CRM, project management, or estimating software. • Taking accountability for the end-to-end delivery of assigned learning projects and programmes, from kick-off through to sign-off and handover • Building and maintaining realistic delivery plans, milestones and critical paths, and keeping them current as work evolves • Tracking progress against scope, schedule and budget, and acting early when any of the three is at risk • Working with resourcing to secure the right mix of skills — designers, developers, media, QA and specialist contractors — for each engagement • Coordinating a blended team of employees and independent contractors, giving clear briefs, priorities and expectations • Removing blockers, balancing competing demands and keeping the team focused and productive • Acting as the delivery-facing point of contact for clients, running status updates, reviews and delivery governance • Managing expectations, surfacing trade-offs early, and translating between client needs and delivery reality • Making sure delivered work meets TTRO’s quality standards and the agreed brief before it reaches the client • Identifying, logging and managing delivery risks and issues, with clear mitigation and escalation • Managing project budgets, effort and margin, and flagging scope changes for commercial review rather than absorbing them • Running structured close-outs — capturing lessons learned, effort actuals and reusable assets
