Job Description

Operations Specialist – Mutual Funds

PEAK6

• Provide support and assistance to correspondents regarding daily requests and inquiries related to mutual funds • Ensure customer inquiries are addressed and completed in accordance with service level agreement guidelines • Review and complete daily supervisory oversight, providing updates to seniors and management • Ensure mutual fund trades are processed within processing deadlines • Execute and process mutual fund transactions, including purchases, redemptions, exchanges, and transfers • Reconcile mutual fund accounts on a daily basis to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and settled • Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies • Assist in preparing regulatory reports and documentation for audits and examinations

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the financial industry, preferably in roles related to: securities processing, brokerage operations, broker-dealer operations, equity trade lifecycle, new accounts
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent experience required
  • FINRA SIE and FINRA Series 99 required (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment; Series 7 is preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to adapt messaging based on the audience
  • Detail-oriented and focused on customer satisfaction
  • Understanding of Microsoft office tools including Excel
  • Strong customer service and problem solving skills
  • Requires excellent data gathering and analysis skills, utilizing reports, spreadsheets, web-based applications, and other software tools (SQL, Microsoft office, and Google Work suite)
  • Strong knowledge of/ or experience in Core Brokerage Operations functions

Role Description As part of an Anti-Trafficking Mobile Team, consisting of an AT Team Supervisor, AT Advocate, and AT Clinician, the AT Mentor will provide care for commercially sexually exploited (CSE) and trafficked children and young adults (up to age 24). The Mentor serves as the first responder to provide immediate crisis intervention and mobile direct services support, once a survivor/victim is recovered. - Partner with the AT Team Supervisor to provide mobile direct services based on the needs identified in the victim’s individual needs assessment. - Work collaboratively with the AT Team and AT Leadership to ensure victims’ needs are met. - Provide ongoing mobile care management services to victims and their families (if appropriate) wherever the victim is housed. - Verify victim’s eligibility for services/benefits based on individual situations. - Support victims by attending court. - Assist with referrals and accompany appointments as needed. - Provide day-to-day care management services and work with clinical staff to support ongoing needs. - Ensure support for immediate health and safety such as crisis intervention; accompaniment to hospitals for medical examinations; emergency food, clothing, transportation to appointments as needed. - Assist with special services to help victims manage practical problems created by their victimization. - Complete documentation as required by funding entities, courts, referral sources. Qualifications - Survivor of childhood sexual abuse, exploitation, and/or sex trafficking, with a minimum of three years of recovery. - High school diploma or GED. Requirements - Present oneself, both at and outside of work, in a manner keeping with One More Child’s Core Values of Humble, Hungry, Wise, and Called. - Comprehensive understanding and experience in providing direct care and coordinated services to trauma victims specific to CSEC and CSE young adults. - Commitment to vulnerable individuals and families who have experienced trauma. - Demonstrate a solid understanding of child welfare issues to include trauma-informed care best practices and its implementation as well as cultural competency. - Ability to build effective professional working relationships internally and externally. - Ability to solve complex, practical problems and effectively deal with complex variables in situations where limited standardization exists. - Effective oral communication skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality with victim and agency information. - Computer and systems skills, including experience with Microsoft Word. - Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently. - Availability to work flexible hours and days based on needs of the victims/survivors. - Ability to provide on-call services with team members for 24/7 and 365 days a year and provide crisis intervention and ongoing support of individuals identified in the region.
