(Eligible for 8-10% Annual Bonus) Location - Can Sit Out of Seattle, WA, San Francisco, CA, or Los Angeles, CA Schedule - (Hybrid: Tuesday - Thursday on-site, Monday & Friday Remote) [Summary of Key Responsibilities] - Independently develop structural designs for building projects, with a focus on steel and concrete structural systems. - Perform structural analysis using tools such as ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000, referencing applicable building codes and standards. - Apply seismic design principles to building projects, including work in seismically active regions. - Work with architects and in-house MEP and lighting teams to produce integrated, coordinated building designs. - Participate in the design and documentation of commercial, workplace, and aviation interior projects, as well as other building types as needed. - Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop efficient structural solutions. - Communicate technical concepts clearly to cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers. - Manage and prioritize 2–4 concurrent projects or tasks while maintaining organization, quality, and deadlines. - Contribute to multidisciplinary design discussions, offering structural input that improves overall building performance. - Collaborate with BIM specialists and other engineering team members to ensure accurate and coordinated models and documentation. - Support a growing structural engineering team by sharing knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned. - Engage with project teams across different offices to support regional and global client projects. [Qualification Requirements] - 5+ years of experience with structural engineering, focused on building design. Looking for someone moving beyond task-based work into more independent design ownership. - Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural - Seismic Coursework Preferred. - Software: ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Revit (Bentley is a plus). - ***Revit experience required (at a minimum, ability to review)*** - Experience working with large-scale commercial, healthcare, and/or institutional projects (project scope up to $20M). - Strong experience with steel + concrete structural systems. - Able to work autonomously, reference codes, and run analysis without heavy oversight. - Must have exposure to seismic design (West Coast experience ideal). - Solid structural analysis experience. - Strong communication skills; able to clearly explain technical concepts to cross-functional teams (architects, engineers, PMs). - Proven ability to manage 2–4 projects/tasks simultaneously while maintaining organization and deadlines. - Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals and timelines. Role Description Our client is internationally known for creating the premier Passenger Cargo aircraft conversion. Our 321 Client Conversions team is seeking an experienced Certification Engineer; the opportunity to work remotely will be considered. This role is a great opportunity to join the world of aircraft conversions in a role that will provide a variety of interesting and challenging engineering tasks. You will participate in the whole operational chain from preliminary design solution to installation on the airplane, including working on the aircraft assigned for modification/conversion in the hangar which gives a unique experience in structural and systems design. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University. - A minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
