JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State Hazleton Continuing Education is seeking applicants to serve as a Counselor for various youth programs on Penn State Hazleton's Campus. The Youth Counselor’s primary task is to assist the Instructor with daily functions to ensure that each participant is provided a quality and enjoyable learning experience. The Youth Counselor will report to the Interim Regional Lead for Continuing Education at Penn State Scranton and staff as designated at the Penn State Hazleton Campus. Youth Counselor responsibilities include: - Being attentive to participants safety; - Being available to provide assistance in the classroom; - Providing feedback. This position requires participation in Mandated Reporter Training and successful background checks prior to the first day of the program including the Child Abuse Training Certificate. Position pays $13/hour. Must be at least 18 years old.
