Position Overview JTG is seeking experienced freelance translators to support financial, accounting, and tax-related language projects. Assignments may involve written translation, transcription, and quality review of sensitive materials for government and regulated-industry clients. We are recruiting linguists across all languages. Current priority needs include (but are not limited to): - Albanian - Arabic - Armenian - Burmese - Chinese (Simplified & Traditional) - Greek - Hausa - Hindi - Hmong - Indonesian - Japanese - Khmer - Kinyarwanda - Korean - Lao - Lingala - Malayalam - Nepali - Pashto - Polish - Pulaar (Fulani) - Russian - Somali - Tagalog - Tamil - Turkish - Vietnamese Pay Range: $0.08 - $0.20 per English word of translation, $25.00 - $40.00 per hour of transcription Key Responsibilities - Translate documents involving financial, accounting, regulatory, and tax-related subject matter - Perform verbatim transcription of audio files and translate transcripts into the target language, in accordance with project specifications - Apply domain-specific terminology and follow designated style guides and quality standards - Review and provide quality assurance feedback on other linguists’ work, as required - Communicate clearly and professionally in written and spoken English - Meet deadlines while maintaining strict confidentiality and data-handling requirements Required Qualifications - Demonstrated professional experience translating between English and at least one foreign language - Familiarity with financial, accounting, regulatory, or tax terminology - Strong written English skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Ability and willingness to successfully complete a U.S. Government background investigation (Public Trust level or equivalent), as required by specific assignments - This position requires U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency (green card) in accordance with the applicable federal contract.
