• Partner with Retail Technology leadership to analyze business needs across POS, ecommerce, payments, and supporting systems • Translate operational challenges and business objectives into structured, actionable requirements • Evaluate system behavior across upstream and downstream processes, identifying gaps and inconsistencies • Support root cause analysis on complex issues, clearly distinguishing between system and process drivers • Analyze system-specific functionality and integrations across platforms, including exposure to technologies such as ABAP, CPI, and FE, to better understand dependencies, data movement, and downstream business impact • Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and supporting functional documentation • Define current-state and future-state workflows across retail technology systems • Document system interactions, dependencies, and data flows across platforms • Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and aligned with business goals and technical capabilities • Maintain detailed documentation of system behavior, configurations, and known limitations • Create structured artifacts including: Process flows and system diagrams, Functional specifications, Issue summaries and resolution documentation • Work closely with Retail Operations, IT Support, Application Support, Finance, Compliance, and external vendors • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or retail technology environments
- Strong experience writing structured documentation (BRDs, functional specs, process flows)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex systems and workflows
