Solutions Architect
Cohesity
• Deliver architecture designs and professional services to Cohesity customers • Lead customer transition initiatives from assessment through deployment completion • Identify technical, operational, security, and business risks and establish transition plans prior to implementation • Act as a trusted advisor to customer architects, infrastructure teams, and executive stakeholders • Review and approve design deviations, implementation decisions and deployment readiness milestones • Build strategic relationships with key customers and Cohesity teams • Collaborate with Cohesity’s product solutions, product management and engineering teams • Present architecture recommendations, deployment strategies, and technical risks to executive and technical stakeholders • Engage directly with customers to understand their organizational needs • Develop detailed solution designs including architecture diagrams, sizing specifications, integration requirements, and risk assessments • Provide field feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams • Define technical architecture including sizing and performance that meet customer requirements • Develop best practices for the deployment designs that translate to project plans • Provide feedback to Implement Engineers, Systems Engineers, and engineering
Job Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in architecting, documenting, deploying, and enabling others
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience in Backup Products: NetBackup
- Experience in Virtualization (VMware, vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Experience in Physical Windows, Linux/Unix
- Experience in Databases: Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, SAP
- Experience in Storage: NAS, SAN, Object Storage, NFS, SMB, S3, Storage Performance Concepts
- Experience in Networking: IP Planning, VLANs, Routing, Firewall rules, Load Balancing concepts, DNS, NTP, MTU, multisite networking concepts
- Experience in Security: AD, LDAP, SSO, MGA, RBAC, least privilege access concepts, Key management, encryption, ransomware recovery principles
- Experience in Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Archival, Recovery Patterns, Hybrid Cloud Data Protection, Data Security and Data Management
- Experience in Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance
- Experience in Database Protection and Recovery
- Experience in Scripting / Automation (Python, Ansible and ServiceNow)
- Excellent communication and project-related skills
- Strong written skills and the ability to create documentation
- Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills
- The ability to manage projects and drive to a deadline
- Must have English language proficiency.
