Job Requirements
- Proven experience with Java;
- Knowledge of modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and WebFlux;
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ;
- Familiarity with automated testing (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber);
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases;
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Jenkins, pipelines, Docker);
- Familiarity with best practices such as SOLID, Clean Code and Design Patterns;
- Experience working in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban).

• The API Workflow Developer will design, build, test, and maintain cybersecurity automation workflows and integrations within an enterprise Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) environment. • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain SOAR playbooks, workflows, integrations, and automated response actions. • Translate manual cybersecurity and compliance processes into documented, repeatable, and scalable automation workflows. • Develop REST API integrations between the SOAR platform and SIEM, EDR, ticketing, identity, asset-management, vulnerability-management, threat-intelligence, and GRC systems. • Write and maintain Python scripts, API clients, custom connectors, functions, data parsers, and reusable automation components. • Configure workflow logic, triggers, conditions, approvals, error handling, retries, notifications, and escalation paths. • Troubleshoot failed workflows, API errors, authentication issues, malformed data, integration defects, and platform performance problems. • Collaborate with analysts, incident responders, engineers, and process owners to gather requirements and define automation use cases. • Test workflows using representative data and validate that automated actions produce accurate, secure, and expected results. • Maintain API documentation, workflow diagrams, configuration records, runbooks, test results, and deployment procedures. • Use source control, code review, configuration management, and controlled release processes to manage automation content. • Monitor deployed automations, review execution logs and performance metrics, and continuously improve reliability and efficiency. • Provide operational support, defect remediation, platform maintenance, and knowledge transfer for SOAR workflows and integrations.
• This role specifically will need to be a technical leader in the Java and .Net APM agents and Alerts (or able to ramp up quickly), eventually jumping in with agents such as Node, GO, PHP, Python • Support New Relic customers by solving complex installation, configuration, and data exploration requests • Increase your skill set through additional training and exposure to other programming languages featured in our product suite • Advocate for our customers to our Product Organization by providing feedback on feature requests and bugs to improve the customer experience • Contribute to both internal and customer-facing documentation and Knowledge Centered Support (KCS) • This opening is for a position working day shift hours of 8am-5pm PT Mon-Fri. You may be located in ET, CT, MT or PT time zones and committed to working PT hours. Working occasional weekend days or holidays may be required on an as-needed basis
