Role Description The incumbent will support the execution of IT programmes and projects, in coordination with the Heads of Unit and team leads, according to internationally recognized Programme and Project Management standards and methodology. Accountabilities/Responsibilities - Coordinate and harmonize TECM and TECI programmes and projects, fostering innovation, automation and leveraging best practices and controls. - Support the Chief, TECM to industrialize IT processes and enable operations while attaining disciplined execution. - Represent TECM in meetings, workshops, fora, both internal to IT and external to IT, including non-WFP parties. - Coordinate the global implementation of the new Service Management solution, in sync with the expansion of the IT Service Centre. - Support the Cloud Computing adoption globally. - Coordinate the TECM portion of the SCOPE investments. - Carry out programme and project management tasks including planning, status reports, communication to stakeholders, budgeting and expenditure control and reporting. - Ensure that any operational agreement with implementing parties is prepared, negotiated and agreed upon according to the indications/guidelines provided by the management. - Ensure the quality of outputs and results with optimal performance monitoring mechanisms; establish effective coordination, monitoring, information sharing and reporting systems. - Harmonize operational activities with emerging trends: Business Continuity, Continuous Service Improvement, Common Services. - Manage TECM and TECI budget activities, including tracking expenditures and forecasting. - Liaise with TECR on branch cashflow. - Support Investment Case submissions, tracking, etc. - Facilitate procurements on behalf of branch. - Model cost recover opportunities. - Other duties as required. Deliverables at the End of the Contract - Successful coordination and harmonization of the TECM and TECI teams and implementation of industry best practices. - Cloud Adoption financially optimized. - Service Management solution implemented and synced with the expansion of the IT Service Centre. Qualifications - Advanced University Degree in IT or related field. - 8+ years of experience in Programme and Project Management in IT related environments. - Ability to work with precision under pressure on multiple activity streams. - Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision as well as to cooperate within a team with pre-defined reporting lines. - Proven ability to plan, manage and report on budget and resource consumption for large programme and projects with multiple streams or multiple projects. Knowledge & Skills - General knowledge of - and experience in - international organizations would be an asset. - MSP and COBIT certification would be desirable. - Baseline IT Security knowledge would be a distinct advantage. - Previous experience in international contexts with coordination of multiple workgroups will be considered a plus. - Detail-oriented, Excellent communication, Ethics & Values, Team Work, Client Orientation, Cognitive Capacity, Interpersonal Relations, Stress Resistance, Behavioral Flexibility, Leadership Capabilities. - ITIL certification is required. Languages - Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages) is desirable.
