Role Description Tax Operations Services Associate serves as compliance gatekeepers and operational coordinators for the firm’s tax engagements, with a primary focus on validating 7216 consents and managing offshore tax tool access. This role ensures that all Consent Letters and Statements of Work (SOWs) contain the correct consent language and client approval, in accordance with IRC §7216 and AICPA standards. The associate reviews contracts for proper signatures, verifies that all required consent components are present, and updates client consent status in the firm’s Master Data Management (MDM) system. The position also supports the onboarding and readiness of offshore resources, monitors operational performance, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The associate collaborates with engagement teams, facilitates Foreign Independence checks, manages documentation, and resolves issues related to USI access and offshore tool permissions. Qualifications - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Business, or related field), or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Requirements - 2–4 years of project coordination, business process, or administrative experience (required). - Effective communication skills, with the ability to create effective documents and review them with key project stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization (required). - Experience supporting multiple initiatives concurrently (required). - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (e.g., SharePoint, Excel, Teams) and generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) (required). - Effective organizational and time management skills (required). - Ability to perform responsibilities in a primarily remote work environment (required). - High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry (required). - Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, processes, and technologies (required). - Demonstrated problem-solving skills and proactive approach to resolving issues (required). - Previous experience working in a large organization, professional services firm, or CPA firm (preferred). - Tax compliance or advisory experience with knowledge of accounting or tax fundamentals (preferred). - Experience with tax compliance systems or financial systems and technology (preferred). - Exposure to business intelligence tools and working knowledge of analytics and data management (preferred). - Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (preferred). - Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards (required).
