Job Description This role is designed to expand Achieve's debt relief ecosystem by sourcing, structuring, and closing new partnerships. As a Director, Wholesale Business Development, you are a true "hunter". You will own the full deal lifecycle - from market mapping, prospecting and closing independent sales organizations (ISOs) that originate debt relief enrollments with Achieve's wholesale platform. Qualifications What you'll do: Prospecting & Pipeline Development - Build & Execute: Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified prospects and independent sales organizations (ISOs). - Relationship Building: Develop owner- and principal-level relationships to drive high-value opportunities from introduction to term sheet. - Targeting: Drive prospect targeting and messaging strategies to cut through the noise. - Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Achieve at key industry events and conferences to expand brand presence and generate active deal flow. Deal Structuring & Negotiation - Pitching: Prepare and deliver highly persuasive presentations and customized commercial proposals to partner executives. - Closing: Manage term sheet and contract negotiations with prospective partners, balancing competitive deal structures with unit economics. Partnership Execution & Management - Deal Leadership: Act as the primary deal lead from first contact through signed agreement, ensuring a seamless handoff to the operations and partner management teams. - Internal Collaboration: Partner closely with internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, and Operations) to align on partner evaluation, onboarding protocols, and legal frameworks. Market Intelligence & Strategy - Market Insights: Conduct continuous market research to identify emerging opportunities and track competitor moves in the debt relief wholesale space. - Strategic Input: Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on industry trends, partner feedback, and market dynamics. - Growth Strategy: Directly contribute to Achieve's long-term distribution strategy through unique insights gained from the field. What you'll bring: - Proven Sales Track Record: 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or strategic partnerships, with a documented history of meeting and exceeding revenue quotas. - The "Hunter" Mentality: A self-driven, entrepreneurial approach to prospecting with the grit and persistence required to map markets, cold-outreach, and build pipelines from scratch. - Executive Presence: Exceptional communication, pitching, and relationship-building skills, with a proven comfort level negotiating directly with owners, principals, and C-suite executives. - Deal-Making Expertise: Strong commercial acumen with experience navigating complex contract negotiations and working alongside Legal and Compliance teams to close deals. - Industry Background: Experience in debt relief, consumer lending, fintech, or broader financial services is a major plus, but not required for a candidate who knows how to sell. - Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel as needed for industry conferences, events, and face-to-face partner meetings.
