Role Description Coalition Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Accountant / Accounting Specialist to support our accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong QuickBooks Online experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage accurate financial records in a fast-paced remote work environment. As an Accountant / Accounting Specialist, your duties will include: - Recording financial transactions in QuickBooks Online - Reconciling general ledger accounts, journal entries, and bank statements - Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements - Reviewing monthly financials and performance metrics to help improve cash flow and business efficiency - Comparing annual budgets and cash flow forecasts against actual results - Preparing and submitting annual and quarterly taxes to city, county, state, and federal authorities - Supporting additional accounting, finance, bookkeeping, and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications - Competency in preparing local, state, and federal taxes for a small company - A minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience preferred - Experience with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs preferred - Strong quantitative, analytical, and writing skills - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse teams and departments - A flexible, team-oriented mindset and the ability to work well under pressure - Experience working with a startup preferred - Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time - Ability to complete other duties as assigned Requirements - Candidates may be tested on QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and other relevant accounting skills.
