• Manage daily cash activity: monitor bank accounts, record transactions, and maintain accurate cash position reporting. • Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger (GL) reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies. • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policy, and internal controls. • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. • Process and monitor ACH payments, wire transfers, and positive pay; maintain banking relationships. • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and maintaining accurate accounting records. • Monitor financial activity to identify irregularities or risk, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements. • Collaborate cross-functionally to support accounting, treasury, and operational initiatives. • Own assigned accounts and responsibilities; proactively manage deadlines and communicate progress to leadership. • Identify opportunities to improve accounting and treasury processes through automation, standardization, and stronger controls. • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and schedules to support management decision-making. • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data and ensure regulatory compliance. • Provide backup support for accounting and treasury functions; participate in special projects as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (degree requirement may be waived for candidates with 5+ years of relevant hands-on accounting experience).
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting and/or treasury experience.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software such as NetSuite AND QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience processing ACH payments, wire transfers, and other treasury transactions.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in a multi-entity, manufacturing, or high-volume transaction environment preferred.

Role Description The Client continues to develop our growing accounts department and are looking for a qualified or qualified by experience individual to join the team. This is a varied role which will cover all aspects of accountancy, from management accounts to limited company financial statements on clients within a wide spectrum of industries. In addition to preparing business accounts there is the opportunity to be involved in more specialist areas including charity and not for profit organizations and pension scheme accounts. - Working on a portfolio of clients, ensuring assignments are managed and work is completed in a timely manner. - Prepare annual accounts and tax computations for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. - Prepare management accounts and information on a quarterly or monthly basis. - Prepare VAT returns on a quarterly basis. - Deliver an excellent level of customer service, managing and exceeding client expectations, responding to all ad hoc queries in a timely manner. - Maintain up to date technical knowledge and attend all relevant training, conferences and seminars. - Manage all work efficiently, profitably and in accordance with the Company’s procedures. • Produces timely, accurate, and reliable financial statements and accompanying documentation; drives efficiency and improvement within the month-end close process. • Maintains and reconciles the general ledger and sub ledgers monthly, prepares account reconciliations and resolves discrepancies; account reconciliations include cash accounts, AR, AP, fixed assets, prepaids and accruals. • Maintains fixed asset subledger, ensures capital expenditures are properly supported and classified, reviews additions and disposals, and calculates and records monthly depreciation/amortization. • Analyzes financial results and variances versus budget or forecasts. • Supports audits by providing necessary documentation and analyses while adhering to deadlines. • Identifies accounting and/or process issues, recommends and implements solutions. • Assists with tax preparation and filings. • Prepares ad hoc reporting requests. • Other duties as required.
