Your main responsibilities will include designing and conducting playtests and other UX research initiatives, analyzing data, and writing summaries and reports. What you will do Conducting video game play tests in the lab or remotely. Create and implement research plans, study designs, briefs and other tactical elements essential to UX research in games. Analyze and synthesize player surveys and/or verbal comments as well as other qualitative data from game tests. Collaborating with other members of the research and insights, data science, community and quality assurance (QA) teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of player behavior. Write research reports for a variety of partners. Support the maintenance of search directories and dashboards. Building and developing relationships with development studios and publishing partners. To become thoroughly familiar with the mechanics and features of game titles currently in development. Conduct competitive analyses and detailed design analyses. What will make you a good candidate Proven experience in conducting user experience (UX) research and usability studies. Understanding of mixed research methods, frameworks and processes. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Experience using Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word or Google Sheets/Slides/Docs. Ability to summarize, analyze and communicate large amounts of written feedback and qualitative data, and to derive insights and recommendations from them. Ability to manage multiple projects and/or objectives simultaneously. Passion for video games and the gaming industry. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cognitive science, experimental/cognitive psychology or a related field. More than 2 years of experience in UX research or in another area of social sciences. Experience with survey software (e.g., Qualtrics, Alchemer) and qualitative analysis tools. Proficiency in PC hardware and current generation game consoles. Experience in accessibility, inclusion and/or representation in games.
