Role Description We are seeking researchers for our real-time information team. You see the opportunity in generating alpha from real-time events. You possess a rational aptitude for interpreting how news originates, disseminates, and affects prices. You are a strategic thinker who can distinguish signal from noise. You have potential or credentials at software development or math. - Basic science: Identify market-moving news signals by observation and querying of news and market data. - Historical analysis: Catalog, study, and model the market impact of news signals. - Scheduled event focus: Create calendar of important events, watch them live. - Real-Time monitoring: Watch newsfeeds and alert traders/researchers to time-sensitive updates. - Manage automated news alerts: Backtest, stress-test, and deploy high precision/recall automated alerts for themes of interest. Then, pay attention to changing market conditions and update as necessary. - Develop market competence: Internalize context and pricing for liquid crypto assets. Qualifications - Degree in a related field (finance, engineering, math, social science with a concentration on economics/finance), or demonstrable fluency in same. - Experience using news platforms such as X Pro, Bloomberg Terminal, discord/telegram chats, etc. - Serious ambition to play a high-stakes, ultra-competitive game. We are seeking an On-Chain Data Analyst to strengthen the firm’s on-chain research capabilities by internalizing and systematizing critical data and attribution workflows. This role is central to improving the quality, reliability, and scalability of on-chain research used to inform market analysis and investment decision-making. The ideal candidate is an experienced on-chain engineer or data professional who is comfortable operating close to research. You will work in a highly dynamic, market-driven environment, translating ambiguous research questions into research‑grade datasets, improving entity‑level attribution, and helping evolve ad‑hoc analysis into durable systems. Responsibilities - Build and maintain EVM-chain attribution and labeling datasets, including address labeling (exchanges, whales, protocols, DAOs), entity clustering, and QA to ensure research-grade data quality. - Translate research questions into reproducible datasets and analytical workflows, including token supply/distribution tracking, exchange flow analysis, and entity-level behavioral views that researchers rely on for ongoing analysis. - Systematize coverage of token launches, airdrops, and distribution events by creating reusable templates and frameworks that reduce ad-hoc coverage effort. - Support ownership transitions of infrastructure components (label database, on-chain monitor) to the Data Platform Team through technical specifications and documentation, acting as a subject-matter bridge between research and engineering teams during handoff phases. - Validate research assumptions, edge cases, and data correctness in analysis outputs and dashboards. - Conduct exploratory analysis using attribution datasets to identify behavioral patterns, reduce noise, and surface potential market-relevant signals.
We are seeking a talented and experienced blockchain researcher to join our trading firm in a full time role. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in one of the following: EVM blockchains, EVM Layer 2 networks, and non-EVM Layer 1s. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to quickly learn new blockchain networks and adapt to new environments, work well under pressure, and have flexibility in working hours. The purpose of this role is to leverage strong on-chain experiences to be part of an alpha generating team for a premier, crypto-native hedge fund. Responsibilities - Respond to urgent market events to provide accurate and timely analysis of on-chain activities to inform trading decisions. - Detailed experience with token supply analysis with a focus on token genesis, wallet attribution and insider activities. - Monitoring of onchain activity and alerts for potential tradeable events. - Effectively communicate complicated blockchain activities to the trading and research teams. - Collaborate with the on-chain engineering team to acquire blockchain data for alpha research. - Obtain a thorough understanding of the existing Hermeneutic on-chain analytics frameworks and integrate with the existing trading, research, and data teams. - Use their understanding of blockchain networks and market events to aid in the improvement and expansion of current analytics frameworks and methods. - Continually evaluate new analysis platforms and publicly available research to aid in thematic market research. - Use their on-chain analytics experience to evaluate non-EVM blockchains when trading opportunities are presented. - Uses their knowledge of onchain activity and market dynamics to source trade ideas.
