Role Description Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Project Manager for the Power Lifeline Sector. As leader of the project team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of Client projects in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with requirements and standards as set forth in the project contract(s) for our most complex and large-scale projects. Your advanced technical knowledge and extensive project management experience will be pivotal in guiding projects to successful completion. Remote locations considered, our Denver, CO location is preferred. What You’ll Do - Project Management - Lead large, multi-disciplinary Transmission and Substation projects from initiation through close-out for Clients. - Manage all aspects of project execution, including scope, stakeholder management, schedule, budget, and quality. - Critical coordination of highly matrixed project execution teams to ensure resources are focused on the right activity at the right time to meet project schedule. - Lead project meetings, including progress reviews and problem-solving sessions. - Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. - Ensure availability or seeks out adequate resources to support the project. - Develop and implement detailed project plans, including risk management and mitigation strategies. - Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule, and cost objectives. - Collaboration & Communications - Function as the key project representative for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns. - Lead overall project, coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation, and negotiation. - Communicate with Senior Leadership, clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns. - Work collaboratively with the Project Management Team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracked to plan. - Ensure that project timelines are maintained and milestones are met. - Monitor project progress and take corrective actions to keep projects on schedule, along with keeping the project plan up-to-date. - Monitor and control project budgets to prevent overspending. - Keep track of all financial transactions related to the project. - Monitor and control project costs. - Project Reporting & Compliance - Monitor ongoing project health and track key metrics. - Adhere to Client governance policies and procedures for project success. - Apply a deep understanding of contract strategy with both prime and client agreements to ensure alignment and successful project execution. - Team Effectiveness - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. - Demonstrates excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills. - Ensure that best practices are shared and implemented effectively across projects and teams. - Deeply understands business objectives and stakeholder needs. - Provide training and support to all project team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. - Professionalism and Client Focused - Achieves results by problem solving, setting priorities, and organization. - Maintains customer focus to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner. - Strives for individual excellence by seeking challenges and self-development, demonstrating high levels of expertise, and showing commitment, self-confidence, and integrity. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. - 10+ years of project management experience, with 5 years of experience in the power industry preferred. - Technical knowledge, with the ability to understand and coordinate solutions for complex challenges preferred. - PE, PMP, CCM or equivalent certification preferred. - Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including project and/or program management, services, engineering, operations, and procurement. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), with advanced understanding and experience of scheduling and cost planning. - Travel to clients’ facilities for field visits and client meetings monthly (25%). - Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S. Benefits - Flexible Workplace - Employee Ownership - Competitive Pay - Comprehensive Benefits Package - Collaborative Environment - Innovative Culture
