Mobile Service Technician
Daimler Truck North America
• Providing onsite support to customers and service partners in the assigned Mid West region of the US. • Responsible for making repairs to coach-side issues like electrical, HVAC, suspension, chassis, and interior systems. • Write damage and special incident reports on customer complaints and forward these to the Product Support Manager. • Responsible for completing recalls and product campaigns. • Maintain active, timely and accurate CRM records (Novis), reports and applicable logs. • Collaborate with product support manager and sales colleagues to achieve overall team targets. • Analyze customer complaints and write damage and special incident reports. • Collaborate with product support manager to track and resolve these complaints. • Maintain and stock a service vehicle with appropriate tools and parts to complete field repairs. • Instruct the service personnel from customers in all service and maintenance topics.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 4-6 years of relevant experience, or an Associates with 6-8 years of relevant experience
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in automotive industry
- 2 years of proven experience in motor coach aftermarket industry
- Prior Bus / motor coach industry experience
- Understanding and ability to understand and to explain complex technical product in detail
- Outstanding customer service experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, typical computer systems / skills
- High level of personal and professional integrity, honesty and accountability.
- Ability to travel regionally and internationally more than 50% of the time.

Role Description Primarily responsible for communicating with the Project Manager to understand the needs of the project and reviewing, processing, and performing quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) on field survey data. Performs drafting, deliverable reviews, revisions, and prepares final products for client deliverable. Also includes assisting the Project Manager with delegation of work to lower-level survey technicians. - Understands project scope and requirements, reviews field data for completeness, and communicates with the Project Manager on project status. - Reviews notes, sketches, and records of survey data obtained, and work performed and uses that information in the data processing process to verify accuracy. - Prepares field packages for field crews, including point files, DXF files, KMZ files, and additional information as needed. - Processes and performs Quality Control checks on field data according to Gulf standards. - Drafts, maps, and prepares deed sketches, easement sketches, and other parcels to support the survey project. - Prepares, reviews, and finalizes exhibits and plats such as ALTA Surveys, Easement Plats, Topographic Surveys, etc. for the final review of the Project Manager. - Performs all responsibilities in accordance with the Gulf Procedures, and the Health, Safety, and Environment policy continuously striving toward our corporate goal of no accidents, no harm to people, and no damage to environment. - Performs additional duties as assigned or expected to ensure that value is being added to all projects by exceeding clients' expectations. - Helps to keep lower-level survey technicians on task. - Assists in mentoring lower-level survey technicians with how to perform their jobs to the Gulf standard.
