Senior Manager Network Security Engineering

MKS Instruments

Role Description As a Senior Manager Network Security Engineering at MKS Inc., you will partner with all Engineering Teams, Operations Teams, Business Units, Field Services, and Vendors as required to perform engineering design and implementation of the company’s internal network and data communications systems, with a focus on overall network security protocols. In this role, you will report to the Director of IT Connectivity. Impact - Define and execute the enterprise network security strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives. - Partner with IT, infrastructure, and application teams to embed security into all network initiatives. - Influence senior stakeholders on risk posture, investment priorities, and security architecture decisions. - Oversee design, implementation, and lifecycle management of network security solutions including: - Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, NAC, ZTNA - Network segmentation and zero trust controls - Ensure secure architecture across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments - Evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen security posture. - Lead major security initiatives (e.g., segmentation, zero trust, cloud security). Travel Requirements: Up to 5% of Travel is required. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or related work experience. - 10+ years in IT/network/security roles with 5+ years in leadership. - CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent. - CCNP/CCIE Security, GIAC, or cloud security certifications. - Drive delivery of segmentation and security programs across global sites and environments. - Cross-functional collaboration (IT, OT, cloud, app teams). Preferred Skills - Integration with NOC/SOC and monitoring platforms. - Ensure alignment with enterprise security policies, standards, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS). - Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures. - Collaborate with third-party providers and vendors to implement and operate secure solutions. - Strong expertise in segmentation design and attack surface reduction. Financial Responsibilities - Support Director of IT with budget planning and initiatives as needed.
