Valley Hope Addiction Treatment & Recovery

Role Description Valley Hope is expanding our Admissions team by adding this new role of Admissions Specialist. This is a full-time work-from-home position; however, the ideal candidate will reside within an hour's drive of a Valley Hope facility. Functions as a key member of the Business Services team; works collectively to support the admissions needs of identified markets for residential and outpatient treatment facilities with an emphasis on prospective patients and securing VHA as their service provider. - Handles incoming admissions inquiries; serves as primary point of contact for prospective and incoming patients, families, and referral sources. - Conducts initial pre-admissions screening with a focus on gathering preliminary information to identify level of care/services needed and fit with VHA service. - Performs preliminary financial assessment with prospective patients; gathers necessary financial information and processes Verification of Benefits to pre-qualify prospective patients. - Schedules admissions appointments for patients; communicates admissions appointments with appropriate staff/departments. - Assists patients in completing administrative admissions process including obtaining necessary information in support of admissions appointments. - Refers inquiries to other agencies and community resources when prospective patients’ needs are not a fit with VHA services. - Creates and updates electronic records in identified data tracking/electronic medical records systems for prospective and incoming patients. - Performs follow-up calls in a timely manner to referral sources and prospective patients. - Performs medical records requests from referring providers and ensures compliance to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulatory requirements. - Maintains information within identified systems on outside agencies/community resources. - Maintains oversight of bed tracking data including open beds, incoming patients for the day, and discharges for the day. - Performs various administrative duties in support of the admissions process and admissions team responsibilities. - Assists with quality assurance measures in support of continuous improvement efforts. - Maintains confidentiality of prospective and incoming patient data in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulatory requirements. - Maintains working knowledge of applicable Valley Hope policies and processes, facility specific protocols, and regulatory requirements related to admissions functions of Business Services. Qualifications - Required: One (1) plus years of work experience in a similar position and/or healthcare environment. - Required: One (1) plus years of customer service experience. - Preferred: Associate degree. - Preferred: Two (2) plus years of work experience in behavioral healthcare environment and/or within the substance abuse treatment industry. - Preferred: Work experience as a Behavioral Healthcare Technician, Case Manager, or Peer Support Recovery Specialist. - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Requirements - Remote work expectations: employee should designate a quiet workspace free of outside distractions/noises. - Must be able to work non-typical hours including evenings and/or weekends based on operational needs. - Sitting for extended periods of time. BASIC FUNCTION: An Appraiser is a licensed state Certified General appraiser. This role is a generalist building on experience gained during the licensing period and is responsible for performing functions required to provide accurate appraisals of real property of increased and varied complexity. Real Estate appraisals may include: valuing land with varying water rights, lands in transition, permanent plantings, recreational properties and assisting on large complex appraisal assignments including facility appraisals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Prepares real estate appraisals on selected properties, completing increasingly complex real estate that may involve pledged collateral for large or complex loans. - Assists senior staff in developing real estate appraisals on large complex valuations. Completes appraisals under delegated authority or under the supervision of a senior staff member. - Collects sales information from a variety of sources. This may include county websites, MLS and realtor websites.
