Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or other related fields. - 6+ years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of relevant experience in Data Science. - Strong foundation of statistical reasoning and critical thinking, with a proven track record of effectively finding solutions to stakeholder problem statements. - Experience with Python, including some exposure to package development and foundational programming principles. - Some experience with generative AI concepts, including embeddings, LLMs, agents, and RAG. - Experience writing complex SQL queries. - Understanding data warehousing and complex databases. - Experience with machine learning and data visualization tools. - Number sense, ability to identify questionable data, dig in and address it. - Strong communication and collaboration skills to understand business needs, frame problems in familiar language (without compromising statistical fidelity), and present solutions that clearly translate to business value. Preferred Qualifications - Experience developing and deploying Python packages and managing large-scale projects. - Experience developing/deploying generative AI technology, including agents, RAG, or similar. - Experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar technology. - Applied experience in consumer goods/supply chain. - Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Statistics preferred. Additional Considerations - Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, and General Mills will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $110800.00 - $184800.00 / Annually. At General Mills, we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Beyond base salary, General Mills offers a competitive Total Rewards package focusing on your overall well-being. We are proud to offer a foundation of health benefits, retirement and financial wellbeing, time off programs, wellbeing support and perks. Benefits may vary by role, country, region, union status, and other employment status factors. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. An incentive award, if any, depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
