Title: Litigation / Paralegal Hybrid (Legal Assistant)- 3628548 Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Job Description: Salary/Pay Rate - $90,000–$110,000 annually (Exceptional candidates may be considered up to $120,000) Work Environment - Hybrid (4 on/1 WFH; can possibly negotiate 3 on/2 WFH) Term - Direct Hire | Full-Time Bachelor's Degree Required - No Referral Fee - $500 Job Description - AMS Staffing is seeking a Litigation/Paralegal Hybrid Legal Assistant to support a busy practice consisting primarily of Insurance Recovery and Public Finance matters. This position will support approximately two to three attorneys and is ideal for a legal professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation environment while providing both legal assistant and paralegal support. The successful candidate will possess strong litigation support skills, exceptional organizational abilities, experience managing complex attorney calendars and deadlines, and significant experience with both electronic and paper court filings. Pennsylvania county filing experience is highly desirable due to the volume of paper filings required throughout the state. Key Responsibilities - Support approximately 2–3 attorneys within the Insurance Recovery and Public Finance practice groups. - Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, discovery, memoranda, agreements, and other legal documents. - Maintain complex attorney calendars, court deadlines, and reminder systems. - Coordinate meetings, appointments, conference calls, and travel arrangements as needed. - Perform electronic filings in both state and federal courts. - Prepare, coordinate, and process paper filings, including Pennsylvania county court filings. - Open new matters, coordinate conflict checks, maintain client files, and prepare files for storage or closing. - Process attorney billing, review prebills, and assist with billing edits. - Screen telephone calls, manage attorney communications, and maintain positive client relationships. - Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and overnight deliveries. - Assist with additional legal assistant and administrative responsibilities as needed. - Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client matters. Required Qualifications - Previous law firm experience required. - BigLaw experience strongly preferred. - Experience supporting litigation attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. - Experience with electronic court filings. - Experience with paper court filings. - Pennsylvania county filing experience strongly preferred. - Strong calendaring and deadline management skills. - Excellent proofreading, grammar, and document production abilities. - Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills. - Ability to prioritize competing deadlines while working independently. Preferred Experience - Insurance Recovery litigation. - Corporate litigation. - Public Finance. - Personal Injury litigation backgrounds are acceptable. - Legal malpractice backgrounds are not preferred.
