Work Environment: Hybrid (2 days WFH) Term: Permanent / Fulltime - 35 hours week Position Reports to: Director of Marketing Bachelor’s degree required: Yes Referral Fee: AMS will pay $500 should the person you refer gets hired We are looking for an Events & Engagement Manager to lead event strategy that aligns with our firm’s culture and values, strategic vision, and growth priorities. This role drives meaningful engagement with our firm’s key people, including clients and prospects, industry partners, community organizations, and employees at all levels. Event Strategy - Develop and execute a firmwide events and engagement strategy for audiences both inside and outside the firm - Partner with practice group leaders and key attorneys to identify, plan, and execute event and partnership opportunities that support business development - Partner with firm leaders to identify, plan, and execute events and projects that support employees, promoting the firm’s culture, equity and inclusion, education, wellbeing, and community service initiatives - Build measurable goals for events, focusing on audience targets, attendance, follow-up activity, pipeline impact, etc. and develop ROI reporting structure Event Execution & Logistics - Oversee external events, including conferences and programs, trade shows, client and community partnerships, webinars, networking parties and happy hours, etc. - Oversee internal events, including educational programs, social events, holiday parties, touchpoints and celebrations, etc. - Lead all aspects of event planning, including venue sourcing, vendor management, contracts, timelines, run-of-show, onsite execution, and post-event review - Handle vendor management related to catering and hospitality, AV and technology, speakers and presenters, etc. - Manage guest lists, registrations, invitations, nametags, signage, materials, etc. - Prepare attorneys for speaking engagements, conference visits, client events, etc. Marketing Integration - Ensure on-brand positioning for the firm at events hosted by third parties - Work with attorneys to structure and implement intentional event follow-up to convert conversations and meetings into business opportunities - Collaborate with colleagues to promote events across website, social media, emarketing, and intranet platforms Required Skills & Experience - 5+ years of event planning, ideally in a professional services environment - Experience planning events and engagement opportunities for both external (clients, community partners, etc.) and internal (employee) audiences - Strong project management and the ability to lead multiple events simultaneously - Experience with budget management and vendor negotiation - Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with attorneys and staff Tech & Software Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Familiarity with e-marketing and social media platforms - Familiarity with event management and attendance reporting platforms - Familiarity with CRM platforms and contact databases
