Bodily Injury Defense Attorney

United Auto Insurance

We are seeking an experienced Bodily Injury Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, specifically related to automobile accidents. This role involves: Representing the company in legal matters Managing claims Providing expert legal advice to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Working closely with the claims department to ensure legal compliance, mitigate risk, and negotiate settlements Staying current on Texas insurance laws Advising internal teams Actively participating in mediation, arbitration, and settlement discussions to protect the company’s interests This position is open to applicants located in the Houston, TX area and offers the flexibility of working remotely.

Job Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Texas Bar and good standing
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of insurance laws and regulations
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop effective strategies
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on automobile accidents
  • Strong litigation experience with trial skills preferred
  • Excellent negotiation, oral advocacy, and legal writing skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in case management software, legal research tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Highly tech-savvy with demonstrated proficiency in legal technology and digital litigation tools
  • Advanced proficiency in case management systems, electronic document management platforms, and legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)

• Diligently prepare cases, legal strategies, and cover letters. • Develop an expert-level understanding of your client cases.
