Role Description We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, migration, and ongoing operations of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments supporting enterprise healthcare systems within the Military Health System (MHS). This role will be responsible for engineering secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure while supporting migration efforts from legacy on-premises environments to Oracle Cloud. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), cloud migration strategies, infrastructure engineering, virtualization, networking, storage, security, and automation. This individual will play a key role in planning and executing cloud transformation initiatives, including lift-and-shift migrations, hybrid cloud architectures, infrastructure modernization, and operational optimization. The Oracle Cloud Engineer will collaborate with solution architects, systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, database administrators, application teams, and government stakeholders to ensure successful cloud adoption while maintaining compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) security requirements and Oracle best practices. Qualifications - 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in systems engineering, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise IT. - 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience. - Experience planning and executing enterprise cloud migration projects. - Demonstrated experience supporting lift-and-shift cloud migrations from on-premises infrastructure. - Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure architecture and services. - Experience administering enterprise virtual machine environments. - Experience supporting mission-critical healthcare or government enterprise systems. - Strong knowledge of cloud networking, routing, firewalls, DNS, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity. - Experience implementing cloud storage solutions and backup strategies. - Experience with enterprise monitoring and cloud operations. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills. Requirements - Experience supporting Military Health System (MHS GENESIS) or Defense Health Agency (DHA) environments. - Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Professional or Architect certification. - Experience with Oracle Cloud Lift Services. - Experience with hybrid cloud architectures. - Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms. - Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code tools. - Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. - Experience with Linux and Windows Server administration. - Familiarity with Oracle Database technologies and Exadata environments. - Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
