• Define and execute a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with the company's delivery model and business objectives, building the QA function from the ground up including operating model and delivery frameworks. • Establish QA service offerings, methodologies, standards, and best practices across projects, and continuously mature these processes to improve quality, efficiency, and predictability. • Develop scalable QA processes that balance onshore expertise with offshore execution, and partner with leadership to align QA capabilities with broader delivery and growth strategies. • Provide direct leadership of the QA team, including goal setting, performance management, coaching, career development, and recruitment, while fostering a collaborative and engaging team environment. • Establish role expectations, skill progression paths, and training plans for QA team members, and mentor them on insurance domain knowledge, testing best practices, and automation approaches. • Define talent needs up to Assistant Manager level and conduct talent planning to ensure staffing and technical expertise meet current and future business needs. • Oversee QA-owned deliverables across client projects, reviewing and approving test strategies, test plans, and execution approaches for complex engagements. • Partner with project managers, delivery leaders, and technical teams to align QA activities with project plans, monitoring testing progress, risks, and defects and escalating as needed. • Participate in client-facing discussions on QA approach, readiness, and outcomes, ensuring QA activities support successful UAT, production readiness, and go-live milestones. • Support continuous improvement through post-implementation reviews and lessons learned. • Establish standardized QA processes for test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting, and evaluate, select, and implement QA tools and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright). • Define the automation strategy and roadmap, promote integration of QA into CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery, and collaborate cross-functionally with architects, developers, sales, and account teams to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required, or equivalent QA/testing experience
- 7-10 years' experience in Quality Assurance
- 5+ years' proven leadership or management role
- Proven experience building, scaling, or formalizing a QA team or QA function
- Experience managing hybrid onshore/offshore delivery models
- Hands-on experience with enterprise software testing, preferably within the insurance industry
- Experience supporting Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing lifecycle, and defect management
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
- Demonstrated experience with core insurance platforms such as Insurity, Guidewire, or similar systems strongly preferred
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

Role Description Join the TELUS Health team as a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst – Data & Test Case Preparation and play a key role in the preparation and research of test cases for the implementation of our pension projects. In this specialized role, you will be responsible for transforming business requirements into actionable data criteria, identifying and preparing the necessary test cases to ensure the quality of solutions delivered to our major clients. Working in satellite mode on multiple large-scale projects, you will collaborate closely with QA compute teams to ensure test data is ready and compliant prior to test execution. Role Description The Penetration Tester supports the Case Management Modernization (CMM) Program for the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO) by conducting security, penetration, and vulnerability assessments required prior to Application ATO (Authority to Operate). This role ensures that CMM applications—built using React, NodeJS, AWS cloud services, and microservices—meet federal security standards and demonstrate resilience against real‑world cyber threats. Working within Agile DevSecOps teams, the Penetration Tester performs hands‑on exploitation, validates security controls, identifies weaknesses, and collaborates with engineering teams to remediate findings. This role is critical to ensure that CMM systems comply with NIST 800‑53, RMF, and AO security requirements before production authorization. Key Responsibilities - Perform application, API, and cloud penetration tests on CMM systems prior to ATO submission. - Conduct web, mobile, API, and microservices security testing using industry‑standard tools and manual exploitation techniques. - Execute AWS cloud penetration testing within approved boundaries (IAM, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, networking). - Perform static and dynamic analysis, including code review for security vulnerabilities. - Conduct credentialed and uncredentialed scans, privilege escalation testing, and lateral movement analysis. - Validate implementation of NIST 800‑53 controls, including AC, AU, IA, SC, SI, and CM families. - Support RMF Step 3 (Security Assessment) activities and provide evidence for ATO packages. - Identify vulnerabilities across application layers, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines. - Work with developers, cloud engineers, and DevSecOps teams to validate fixes and retest vulnerabilities. - Provide detailed remediation guidance aligned with secure coding and cloud security best practices. - Track findings in Jira or equivalent tools and ensure closure prior to ATO milestones. - Prepare Security Assessment Reports (SAR), penetration test summaries, and risk findings for AO stakeholders. - Document exploitation steps, proof‑of‑concepts, and risk severity aligned with federal scoring methodologies. - Contribute to System Security Plans (SSP), POA&Ms, and ATO evidence packages. - Support pre‑ATO readiness reviews, including control validation and security walkthroughs. - Participate in tabletop exercises, threat modeling sessions, and architecture reviews. - Validate system resilience through stress, failover, and adversarial resilience testing. - Ensure compliance with federal security standards, including NIST, FISMA, and AO-specific guidelines. - Work closely with development teams to integrate security testing into Agile sprints. - Provide security insights during sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness reviews. - Support secure CI/CD pipeline enhancements, including automated security scanning. Qualifications - 8+ years of general experience in information systems with BS/BA Degree, or 6+ years with MA/MS Degree. - 6+ years experience with integration, regression, and system testing using automated testing tools in web-based applications. - Experience in writing test cases, test plans, executing test scripts, reporting defects and preparing test results reports. - Experience in the entire QA Life Cycle, including designing, developing, and executing on the entire QA process and documentation of test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test scripts. - Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
