Role Description We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Microsoft Customer Engineer specializing in SharePoint infrastructure, administration, and design. In this customer-facing role, you will work directly with enterprise and government clients to deliver advanced technical solutions, migrations, and optimizations for both on-premises and cloud-based SharePoint environments. You will serve as a trusted advisor, providing technical expertise in architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and best practices to help customers achieve business success with Microsoft technologies. We need someone fluent in both English and Spanish. Responsibilities - Plan, deploy, operate, and optimize on-premises, hybrid, and online SharePoint environments. - Deliver technical workshops, training, and advisory sessions covering SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online. - Analyze and troubleshoot complex SharePoint infrastructure and configuration issues, providing effective resolutions. - Lead customer engagements focused on SharePoint migration, activation, and optimization. - Collaborate with customer development teams, offering guidance on SharePoint development best practices. - Automate and manage environments using PowerShell, CSOM, and related tools. - Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across SharePoint and Microsoft 365 workloads. - Support customers in implementing Microsoft 365 data governance, archiving, and backup strategies. - Stay current on emerging Microsoft technologies and frameworks to guide customers in digital transformation. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in customer-facing roles such as systems architecture, administration, operations, software support, or IT consulting. - Proven experience delivering SharePoint technical support and consulting services to enterprise or government clients. - Strong background in SharePoint infrastructure administration, deployment, and migration (on-premises, hybrid, and online). - Proficiency with PowerShell, SharePoint Client Side Object Model (CSOM), and Graph API. - Knowledge of Azure infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), SQL Server configuration, and SharePoint DB maintenance. - Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Archive, Data Security, and Governance solutions for SharePoint and OneDrive. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience). - Prior experience or exposure to SharePoint, Viva, or Yammer. - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a strong customer focus. Preferred / Optional Skills - Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, Graph API, and Microsoft 365 Backup/Archive. - Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD lifecycle concepts. - Familiarity with Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework principles. - Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, REST APIs, and custom development (including web parts). - Relevant Microsoft Certifications in SharePoint or related technologies are a plus.
