Role Description We are seeking a senior leader to drive Strategy, Business Development, and Partnerships for the Software & Automation portfolio within Agilent’s Portfolio Solutions Division (PSD). This role will identify and shape new growth vectors, market expansion opportunities, and ecosystem strategies, working closely with corporate strategy, product management, and business units. The leader will define and drive Build, Buy, and Partner assessment frameworks, providing the strategic rationale and diligence support that enables PSD to make disciplined investment choices across software and automation. This is a strategy, portfolio and new monetization methodology role — not a deal sourcing, negotiation, or partner management role. Key Responsibilities - Strategic Growth & Market Expansion - Partner with Agilent Enterprise & Group Strategy to identify adjacent markets, whitespace opportunities, and emerging trends across software & automation (e.g., digital labs, AI/ML, data ecosystems, lab automation). - Translate market insights into actionable growth strategies for Software & Automation. - Lead portfolio-level assessments on where to play and how to win. - Build, Buy (“Buddy”), or Partner Decision Framework - Establish a structured framework to evaluate opportunities across: - Build: Internal product/platform investments (unified software roadmap). - Buy: M&A targets or capability acquisitions. - Partner (“Buddy”): Strategic alliances and ecosystem integration assessment. - Drive data-driven recommendations including strategic fit, time-to-market, ROI, and risk assessment. - Partner with Finance and Corp Dev on business case development and strategic rationale. - Provide strategic diligence support for specific M&A or partnership targets identified through Corp Dev and BD channels. - New Business & Monetization Model Innovation - Lead PSD's thinking on new commercial and monetization models. - Evaluate licensing approaches, recurring revenue constructs, ecosystem monetization, and pricing innovation tied to platform adoption. - Partnership Strategy & Ecosystem Development - Define PSD’s partner ecosystem strategy across: - Technology partners (AI/ML, cloud, data platforms). - Workflow partners (lab automation, instrument connectivity, LIMS/ELN). - Industry ecosystem players (biopharma, diagnostics, academia). - Identify, onboard, and manage strategic partnerships that accelerate platform adoption (e.g., software ecosystem). - Drive co-innovation, joint offerings, and go-to-market alignment. - Cross-Functional Leadership & Alignment - Act as the central bridge between: - Enterprise & Group Strategy. - Product Management. - R&D / Engineering. - Sales & GTM teams. - Ensure alignment between strategy, roadmap, and execution priorities. - Governance & Portfolio Impact Tracking - Translate strategy into operating priorities through balanced scorecards and OKRs. - Define KPIs for partnerships and strategic investments: - Revenue contribution. - Ecosystem expansion. - Platform adoption (e.g., instrument and software integrations). - Provide regular executive updates to PSD leadership. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent. - 12–15+ years in strategy, business development, or partnerships, ideally in software, life sciences, or platform ecosystems. - Strong experience in Build/Buy/Partner decision-making. - Proven track record of leading strategic partnerships or M&A-driven growth. - Executive presence with ability to influence senior stakeholders (e.g., PSD leadership, corporate strategy). - Deep understanding of: - Software platforms / SaaS ecosystems. - AI experience with IP, monetization and moat building. - Data and workflow integrations. - Lab automation and workflow integrations. - Life sciences/lab informatics (preferred). Additional Details - This job has a full time weekly schedule. - It includes the option to work remotely. - Applications for this job will be accepted until at least July 15, 2026 or until the job is no longer posted. - The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $171,600.00 - $321,750.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. - Travel Required: 25% of the Time. - Shift: Day. - Duration: No End Date. - Job Function: Marketing.

Overview AIAI vision that saves manufacturers millions by eliminating defects
• Identify and engage manufacturing prospects across the United States: automotive suppliers, electronics manufacturers, industrial OEMs, food & beverage manufacturers, and other high-volume production environments. Use phone, email, LinkedIn, and creative outbound strategies. • Map the decision-makers. For each target: find the Quality/Engineering owner (Quality Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Lead), locate them on LinkedIn, craft tailored outreach based on inspection challenges we've solved for similar companies. • Lead with curiosity. Uncover the real blocker: Is it cost? Downtime? False positives in current systems? Get specific. Understand why inspection is hard for them. • Qualify ruthlessly. Ask good questions. Think critically about whether an opportunity is real. We measure you on quality of qualification, not activity. Bad meetings hurt the team. Good ones compound. • Partner with Vision Sales Engineers. When you've identified a genuine use case, hand off clean, actionable insights. Then stay in the loop to learn what worked and what didn't. • Keep HubSpot clean. Consistent data, clear activity logs, detailed notes. Your future self will thank you. • Continuously refine. Test messaging. Track what resonates. Share learnings with the team. We iterate fast.
