Job Description

Senior Clinical Training and Program Development Specialist

Oregon Health & Science University Foundation

• As part of the EASA Center for Excellence team, provide clinical training, technical assistance, and clinical consultation in prevention and intervention for substance use within early psychosis intervention service delivery and fidelity review processes at national, state, regional and local levels. • Work as part of team to evaluate effectiveness of efforts, integrate emerging knowledge and develop ongoing improvements in substance use prevention and intervention within early psychosis care, implementation and training in Oregon and partner states. • Collaborate with C4E team to implement focused research and program development as needed. • Systematically engage and integrate feedback from early psychosis intervention participants, family members/supports, staff, and community stakeholders utilizing culturally responsive, trauma informed approaches. • Integrate feedback and data to improve programming and functional and clinical outcomes for youth and young adults. • Work as part of team to design targeted program development efforts, including statewide and local community education and marketing tailored to local communities, research studies, procedures, and day to day operations in support of training and technical assistance quality and practice improvement, research goals of priority interest to communities, and grant commitments. • Write for publication as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Master's Degree in relevant field AND 5 years of clinical research coordination experience OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 9 years of clinical research coordination experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with adolescent and young adult development and identity, family systems and groups, evidence-based practices, practice-based evidence, and promising practices in early psychosis intervention
  • Experience with DSM-5 diagnoses, evidence-based treatment interventions and promising practices for a range of mental health and substance use conditions in adolescents and young adults
  • Experience partnering with individuals and their family members/supports in providing person-centered, strengths-based treatment in individual and community contexts
  • Experience in integrating participant, family/supporter and community feedback and data into service delivery improvement
  • Trained in substance use differential diagnosis and treatment
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and experience collaborating and engaging with diverse populations, groups, and organizations, including low density population, LGBTQ+ and culturally specific communities
  • Demonstrated experience in cultural humility, anti-racism, and equity practices specific to early psychosis intervention
  • Skilled in adaptation and development of clinical care, training, and policies that center the lived experience of diverse populations.
  • Works collaboratively across team members with a wide range of backgrounds, skills, experiences, and credentials
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Trained in trauma sensitive approaches and practices
  • Experience creating, supervising, and/or advocating for service improvement
  • Knowledge of implementation science
  • CADC I, II or III Oregon License or eligibility to become licensed in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, psychology or related field
  • Valid Driver’s License.
