Role Description We're hiring for a Logistics Specialist who will transform our existing distribution processes into repeatable flows that scale alongside our rapidly growing business. If you're a systems thinker who's genuinely obsessed with continuous improvement, this role is for you. This role has a heavy emphasis on supporting retail operations, but will also be tasked with supporting broader omni-channel operations. Success in this role isn't just executing the job, it's identifying and executing on opportunities to improve the underlying processes, translating to faster lead times and lower cost to serve. This role sits at the intersection of logistics, sales operations, and project management. Candidates with strong project management or technical backgrounds but limited logistics experience are encouraged to apply. What You’ll Do - Within 1 month: - Support wholesale order management for retail partners in collaboration with the internal operations team and 3PL to ensure prompt delivery. - Use data from inventory planning, sourcing, and logistics to make informed decisions based on inventory timing and availability. - Facilitate the quote-to-fulfillment process for one-time bulk purchase requests and recurring orders from boutique retailers. - Execute internal shipping requests in support of marketing initiatives. - Provide backup support for on-time shipping and order issue resolution across Shopify and our partner warehouse portal. - Track and clearly communicate order and inventory statuses across internal teams and vendor partners. - Within 3 months: - Participate in 3PL vendor management: attending regular meetings, escalating SLA deviations, resolving order discrepancies, and seeking credit for performance-related retail chargebacks. - Partner with accounting and channel management teams to review and dispute retail remittance deductions for non-compliance and unpaid invoices. - Manage retailer onboarding, ensuring compliance with retail requirements across internal teams and service providers. - Support the marketing team in executing channel marketing strategy for retail partners. - After 6 months: - Surface ordering trends that impact future inventory availability to channel management and inventory planning teams. - Track and report on KPIs for retail partners, including order lead time, OTIF and non-compliance deductions. - Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at automating or simplifying manual workflows, leveraging AI tools and systems thinking to drive operational gains across omni-channel logistics. - Establish and maintain EDI integrations with new retail partners and between Hatch and third-party warehouse systems. - Drive or play a key role in cross-functional initiatives spanning internal teams and external partners. Qualifications - 1-2 years of experience in logistics or sales operations within CPG (consumer electronics, food & beverage, health & beauty or similar). - Experience managing technical projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders. - Familiarity with API, EDI, and iPaaS concepts, with hands-on experience deploying and managing integrations through platforms and in collaboration with internal and third-party developers. - Self-motivated systems thinker, able to reimagine and improve systems and processes. - Intermediate Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, data joins, and data transformation; comfortable learning and applying new formulas as needed. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Familiarity with warehouse order management processes. - Resourceful and collaborative by nature — you find solutions where others see blockers. - Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with the ability to meet strict deadlines. - Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Ability to display empathy, understanding and patience with employees and external customers. - AI-adoptive: You see AI as a superpower, not a threat. - Builder mentality: You thrive in Series B chaos—building the plane while flying it. Requirements - Experience with EDI, warehouse operations, shipping operations, and inventory management. - Experience with Retail Sales Operations (Target, Amazon, and/or other offline/online sales channels). - Experience disputing retail chargebacks and managing AP inquiries through vendor portals. - Experience with Netsuite or ERPs a strong plus. - Experience managing orders and shipment settings in ecommerce platforms (particularly Shopify). Benefits - 100% paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees (80% for dependents, including domestic partners). - Meaningful equity — you’re an owner here. - 401(k) match (no vesting schedule!). - 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave. - 16 free therapy sessions (for you + one other adult in your life). - Financial support for family planning. - Remote office + monthly internet reimbursement. - Friends & family discounts on Hatch products. - Exclusive discounts on travel, entertainment, and top retail brands. - And so many more spontaneous perks!
