Job Description
Product Engineer, Fullstack, Cloud
Prefect
• Key team member who shapes and ships the agentic-workflow product surface in Prefect Cloud — execution plans, agent authoring, human-in-the-loop gates — from problem to polished, shipped experience. • Own user-facing features end-to-end across the stack, with your center of gravity on the front-end. • Be a thought partner to the Prefect Cloud engineering team on product and UX direction. • Bring orchestration / dev-tools intuition to product decisions — you understand the user and the category. • Partner with customers and GTM, including design partners, to turn signal into working software with a fast feedback loops. • Write maintainable, performant full-stack code and participate in on-call / incident response.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with demonstrated success shipping user-facing products.
- Strong front-end skills: deep proficiency in TypeScript, Vue, and modern UI libraries. You can go from idea to polished implementation and have opinions about what makes good UX.
- Track record of shipping in high-ambiguity, early-stage environments without a dedicated PM.
- Comfortable across the full stack; your strength and energy are on the product surface.
- Knowledge of the orchestration / workflow / developer-tools space strongly preferred — e.g. experience at or with tools like Temporal, Airflow, Langsmith, n8n or similar. Adjacent dev-tools / dev-platform experience is also valuable.
- Genuine interest in agents and AI/LLM tooling; you follow where the space is heading and have opinions.
- Real fluency with AI development tools. You've shipped meaningful work with Claude Code, Codex, or their equivalents. You stay accountable for what they produce: you direct them with specs legible to humans and machines; and use them to create a high trust production environment for users.

- Remote-first team with flexible-first culture
- Equity Stock Options
- 401(k) with 5% company match (vests immediately!)
- Unlimited PTO
