Role Description At SafetyWing (YC W18), we’re building a global social safety net for remote workers - simple health, insurance, and retirement products designed to replace national welfare systems. Our mission is to remove geographical borders as a barrier to equal opportunity and freedom for everyone. As the General Manager for Nomad Insurance, you will lead the product end-to-end. This role blends the responsibilities of a product leader and growth leader. You will be responsible for the overall success of the product, from defining strategy and shaping the user experience to ensuring smooth operational execution. You will also lead the Nomad Insurance team, including growth, engineering and design, ensuring people are joyful and productive. Your responsibilities will include: - Being the overall owner of Nomad Insurance, responsible for solving problems and hitting product and growth goals, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader strategy and vision. - Being the voice of our Nomad Insurance customers and ensuring their experience is amazing and we make something people love. - Working with the product team to define product goals, prioritize features, and product improvements. - Leading and mentoring the Nomad Insurance team, ensuring the team remains organized, joyful, and productive. - Managing the key internal and external relationships needed to successfully run the product. Qualifications - Experience in product management or as an entrepreneur. - Entrepreneurial mindset, with high agency and risk-taking ability. - Strong problem solver who gets things done. - Solid leadership skills and ability to rally people around a clear vision, while helping them grow. - Organized and results-oriented, with the ability to plan projects, gather the right resources, and follow through despite challenges. - Strong product intuition and ability to build things people love so much they tell their friends about it. As a Title Examiner, you'll use your research and analytical skills to review residential property records, verify ownership, and ensure every title product we issue is accurate and complete.
