Senior Cybersecurity Analyst
MedPro Group
Role Description We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst who will provide daily support for the analysis of and taking needed action on cybersecurity alerts, notifications, and inquiries from the enterprise. The role will also provide support for incident response, vulnerability remediation, problem solving, and cybersecurity related projects and initiatives. - Monitor and analyze system alerts and take appropriate action where needed. - Work closely with the Threat Detection and Response team to assess and enhance alert logic as well as triage and address alerts that need further review or action taken. - Analyze phish alert and potential malware inquiries from end users. - Review industry news and intelligence reports and work with the various technology owners to ensure MedPro is taking the proper action to mitigate risk and improve our defenses. - Educate end-users in proper security hygiene and awareness. - Assist with the execution and completion of cybersecurity related projects. - Assist with external and internal audit control compliance and responses to due diligence inquiries. - Other related duties as assigned to support the team. Qualifications - IT related Associates degree with three years of relevant experience or five years of relevant cybersecurity related experience. - CISSP or other relevant cybersecurity industry certification a plus. - A thorough understanding of Cybersecurity attack and defense methodologies. - A thorough understanding of Cybersecurity defense hygiene and industry best practices. - Experience using SIEM products and structure query languages to build dashboards and queries for investigation, trending, and alerting. Splunk experience a plus. - A good understanding of IT technologies used in a corporate environment such as Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, mobile devices, SAN and other storage technologies, networking & network security concepts. - Ability to work with others in a team environment. - Ability to work independently, while reporting back to team leader/manager on any issues or concerns in a timely fashion. - Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and ability to independently research for solutions. - Strong customer service skills. - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
