Sr. Epic Analyst
University of Miami
Role Description The University of Miami Health System (“UHealth”) IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Sr. Epic Analyst (Cupid). - Initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications. - Collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access. - Serves as a primary support contact for application end-users. - Initiates the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application. - Initiates all phases of testing and the documentation of workflow design. - Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow. - Initiates the identification of issues and guides the work to resolve them. - Supports junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations. - Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies. - Works with stakeholders, the business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs. - Participates in on-call rotations and support and attends and participates in applicable committees. - Maintains regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings. - Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership. - Remains knowledgeable about UHealth’s policies, procedures, and business operations. - Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. - Epic Cupid Certification. - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization. - Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills. - Familiarity with cardiology workflows, regulatory requirements, integration points with other Epic modules, 3rd party cardiology diagnostic systems (invasive and non-invasive), and patient experiences. - Experience in cardiology practices in the inpatient and ambulatory care settings. - Previous Epic Cupid implementation experience. - Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel. - Problem Solving: Seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence. - Dependability: Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. - Critical Thinking: Ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possible. - Stakeholder Management: Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadership. - Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
