• The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic accounts, developing and implementing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets. • Identify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key clients, and provide excellent aftersales service to retain customers. • Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. • Generate new leads and prospects. • Build and maintain relationships with clients. • Conduct sales meetings and presentations. • Negotiate and close deals. • Meet or exceed sales targets. • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports. • Identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities. • Manage and grow existing client accounts. • Conduct regular check-ins with clients to ensure satisfaction. • Address and resolve any client concerns or issues. • Identify and pursue upselling and cross selling opportunities. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of products/services to clients. • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for assigned territory. • Identify and prioritize key accounts and prospects in territory. • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities in territory. • Plan and manage travel to visit clients and prospects within territory. • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services. • Stay updated on industry trends and developments. • Effectively communicate product features and benefits to clients. • Provide feedback and suggestions for product improvements. • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions. • Submit necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner. • Manage and track expenses related to sales activities. • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field with at least 3 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
- 3+ years’ sales or sales related experience (Filter press, water treatment preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of consultative/value-based selling.
- Knowledge of water treatment preferred.
- Previous experience in the use of CRM’s is required.
- Proficiency in ERP System.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work with distributors and visit end user locations.
- Travel percentage up to 30% (overnight travel).
