This position involves working as a Staff Software Engineer on the Migration Tools team, dedicated to creating and maintaining migration tools that facilitate customer transitions to GitHub and between different devices. Your contributions will directly impact customer experiences by enhancing the scalability and performance of these tools. Lead and mentor team members to produce high-quality, maintainable code. Collaborate with stakeholders to define user requirements and technical solutions. Develop and guide testing plans to assure solution quality and define success metrics. Drive project plans and release schedules ensuring alignment with business goals. Apply debugging tools to verify assumptions and optimize code performance. Job Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in software engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proficient in multiple programming languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
- Demonstrated experience in large-scale system architecture, particularly in cloud environments.
- Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and balancing priorities.
