In this role, you will drive the overarching creative strategy, copy development, scripts, and voice for the Snowflake brand. You will work alongside our talented brand content writers who establish our deep-dive storytelling foundation and our design team who own the visual expression to elevate our collective output with high-concept creative direction. You are plugged into the macro tech landscape and industry trends, constantly hunting for opportunities to insert Snowflake into real-time tech conversations, timely news cycles, and cultural moments that expand our brand’s reach. You like words, but more importantly, you love the big ideas behind them—the concepts that power scripts, defining headlines, and creative briefs. As a visionary writer and a maker at your core, you use words as a strategic tool to solve complex business problems and convey bold ideas with absolute certainty and purpose. This role reports to the VP of Brand Marketing and is part of the larger Brand Marketing function that includes Brand Design, Brand Content, Brand Video, Brand Management, Customer Marketing, and Web Marketing. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Creative Writing and Scripting: Function as the lead creative writer and storyteller responsible for script writing, headlines, and foundational brand copy. - Voice Activation: Translate Snowflake’s voice into compelling creative across campaigns, events, and experiences. Partner with Brand Design to unify visual and verbal identities, bringing the brand’s bold, straight-talking character to life in every medium. - Olympic and Tentpole Activation: Drive the conceptual development for Snowflake’s Olympic content, engineering high-impact, big-idea campaigns tailored for seamless execution across diverse media channels. - Campaign and Asset Creation: Work with the internal team and agency partners to build brand campaigns and video assets that engage and educate customers and prospects on the benefits of Snowflake. - Creative Naming and Nomenclature: Serve as the lead creative partner for company-wide naming exercises—developing distinct, strategic nomenclature for everything from new products to flagship events and global marketing programs. - Event Experiences and Digital Presence: Develop series content and partner with designers, and motion graphics artists to concept and deliver video opens for flagship Snowflake event experiences. Partner with Brand Content, Web Marketing, and Brand Design teams to optimize video and motion assets on snowflake.com. - Strategy and Performance: Establish clear business and marketing objectives for campaign and video and content. Assess performance metrics and apply insights to strategy and planning to constantly improve engagement. - Creative Mentorship and Growth: Manage, mentor, and elevate junior creatives by fostering their professional development. WHAT YOU’LL BRING - 15+ years of marketing experience, with a proven history in tech and advertising, seamlessly blending agency-side creative execution with corporate-side strategic leadership. - Demonstrated mastery of script writing, copywriting, and leading cross-functional brand efforts. - Proven ability to write and produce creative, high-accuracy content in a fast-paced, startup, agency, or hyper-growth environment. - A results-oriented self-starter mindset balanced with humility, responsiveness, and consensus-building skills. - Strong work ethic with a high degree of technical acumen, creativity, and the ability to juggle multiple inputs from stakeholders against tight timelines. - Exceptional communication skills with the ability to pitch ideas, build relationships across the business, and both influence and listen to find common ground. - A proven track record of advocating for creative teams, developing talent, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to dive into the work. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EDUCATION - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications, Creative Writing, Film Production, Graphic Design, or a similar discipline. - Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in Google Workspace apps (Slides, Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Creative Tools: Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma. Experience with Wrike and Canva is a major plus. - AI Adoption and Evangelism: Champion AI tool adoption, building hands-on proficiency, developing workflows, automations, and templates that drive repeatable efficiency at scale.
