• Leads efforts to strengthen the NAIS brand and thought leadership within the independent school sector and the broader P-20 education ecosystem. • Develops a cohesive communications strategy, aligning executive messaging with the NAIS brand. • Supports member and public outreach, enhancing internal information sharing, and advancing advocacy narratives to promote the value of independent schools and NAIS’ expertise. • Manages external PR/media agency or consultants to develop PR/media plans aligned to the NAIS brand strategy. • Serves as liaison to external PR/media agencies in executing media strategies and facilitating incoming media requests by coordinating with NAIS subject matter experts. • Works collaboratively to shape and execute the president’s communications strategy. • Develops communications and content for the president, including regular communications with the membership. • Supports board communications by assisting in the preparation of remarks for the board chair and senior leaders.

• Provides strategic leadership for NAIS’s work at the intersection of school climate and culture; diversity, inclusion, and belonging; and student well-being • Oversees development, advancement, and curation of online and digital resources • Ensures that resources reflect, and are relevant to, the different contexts of member schools • Translates research into actionable, scalable tools and resources for a wide range of schools • Partners with internal teams to design research initiatives and explore data insights • Develops and advances the Gather conference • Serves as a visible national leader in the field through frequent conference presentations, publications, and other forms of public engagement • Establishes and manages strategic partnerships to expand NAIS’s impact • Collaborates closely with the NAIS Management Team to develop, monitor, and manage the budget for the portfolio.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of programs, products, and services within the assigned subject matter portfolio. • Partner with subject matter leadership to define goals, success measures, project outcomes, and timelines that support strategic initiatives. • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, work‑back schedules, milestones, and task tracking for multiple concurrent initiatives. • Translate high-level vision and strategy into clear, actionable project phases and deliverables. • Monitor progress, identify risks, dependencies, and capacity constraints, and recommend mitigation strategies. • Ensure clear communication, accountability, and follow-through across cross-functional teams. • Serve as a central point of coordination among internal staff, consultants, facilitators, and external partners. • Support the development and management of program and project budgets. • Track expenses, support forecasting, and contribute to regular budget reviews. • Lead or support contract coordination with vendors, consultants, and facilitators. • Serve as project lead or key contributor for designated conferences, institutes, or professional learning events within the portfolio.
