Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in compliance
- 2-3 years of pharma business experience
- Good knowledge of regional and local Code of Practices as well as key regulations relating to broader aspects of compliance
- Working knowledge of the healthcare systems in CEE country/ies
- Proven track record of having undertaken compliance roles within the pharmaceutical industry
- Business partnering capabilities
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Detailed oriented, good communicator, flexible, self-assured individual

As a SAM Compliance Lead Analyst on the CX Compliance team, you'll investigate AML and fraud-related transaction activity on the blockchain to protect Coinbase customers and maintain regulatory compliance. This team is responsible for executing Coinbase's AML compliance programs, including transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, and investigative due diligence across our global operations. You'll own end-to-end case investigations, from alert triage through SAR filing, and ensure the quality and consistency of compliance outputs in our Luxembourg operations. What you'll do: - Investigate AML and fraud-related alerts from transaction monitoring systems, law enforcement referrals, and internal business lines, analyzing blockchain activity and KYC information to assess risk. - Document investigative findings in clear written narratives and determine whether activity warrants escalation or Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filing in accordance with regulatory requirements. - Execute due diligence research and analysis in support of Coinbase's AML compliance policies, applying BSA/AML, KYC, and OFAC regulatory standards to every case. - Maintain detailed case documentation demonstrating compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies, and procedures across the Luxembourg entity. - Stay current with industry developments in AML, KYC, and sanctions compliance, applying evolving regulatory requirements and best practices to investigative workflows. Required Skills and Experience: - 3-5 years of experience in AML/fraud compliance operations, including conducting investigations, writing SARs, and managing case workflows in a regulated financial services or fintech environment. - Proven ability to analyze blockchain transaction activity and apply KYC, BSA/AML, and OFAC regulatory frameworks to investigative casework. - Proficiency with compliance and productivity tools such as Google Workspace, JIRA, Hummingbird, and Salesforce Service Cloud, with demonstrated ability to manage detailed documentation across high case volumes. - Familiarity with blockchain analysis tools (e.g., Chainalysis) and professional certification in AML or fraud (e.g., CAMS, CFCS, CFE) preferred. - Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. • Serve as subject matter expert on consumer protection, payment regulations and related financial regulatory requirements • Support execution of risk controls related to safeguarding, operational risk and program governance under the Retail Payments Activities Act (RPAA) • Provide regulatory advice to Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams on new initiatives and business changes • Interpret regulatory developments and translate them into actionable business guidance • Support regulatory examinations, inquiries, and supervisory engagement • Oversee required Canadian regulatory reporting and ensure timely, accurate submissions • Prepare compliance updates for senior leadership and risk governance forums • Support preparation of materials for executive and Board-level committees • Maintain documentation evidencing regulatory compliance and program effectiveness • Lead the Canada compliance risk assessment and periodic refresh processes • Evaluate control effectiveness and recommend enhancements where gaps are identified • Review monitoring outputs and provide expert-level guidance on issue disposition • Escalate material compliance risks appropriately within global governance structures • Maintain and enhance Canada-specific policies, procedures, and control documentation • Support development of compliance monitoring activities aligned to local risk exposure • Partner cross-functionally to ensure remediation efforts are implemented effectively
