Role Description Are you detail oriented, organized, and passionate about helping others? We are seeking an Eligibility Specialist to support a statewide child welfare program by determining eligibility for federally funded assistance programs that help provide care for children placed outside their homes. In this fully remote role, you will: - Complete initial and six-month eligibility determinations in accordance with federal, state, and tribal guidelines. - Request, track, and follow up on missing documentation from county and tribal agencies. - Maintain accurate electronic eligibility files, including court orders, financial records, and supporting documentation. - Review and analyze information from multiple databases and computer systems to determine program eligibility. - Enter eligibility information into the state's case management system. - Communicate professionally with state and county agencies by phone and email. - Assist with special projects and additional program responsibilities as assigned. - Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive case information.
