Backend Developer III – Java/Kotlin, Financial Products

Grupo Boticário

• As a developer on Grupo Boticário's payments gateway team, your main responsibilities will be: • Develop solutions for complex problems that require regular creativity and innovative approaches to address failures; • Write and test code incrementally, in an agile manner, and with thorough documentation; • Perform high-quality code reviews and support colleagues with difficult design decisions; • Test, deploy, and monitor your code in production — continuously; • Collaborate with peers across teams to evolve our ecosystem; • Work on strategic projects for Grupo Boticário; • Maintain our payments platform by identifying issues, root causes, and their impacts; • Contribute, together with the team, to the evolution and decision-making about the future of our payments platform.

Job Requirements

  • Experience designing, implementing, and deploying software solutions to production;
  • Knowledge of Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot;
  • Knowledge of Kafka;
  • Interest in and knowledge of data structures;
  • Experience with microservices;
  • Experience with monitoring and logging;
  • Experience with scheduled tasks (cron jobs);
  • Knowledge of REST and event-driven architectures;
  • Experience with unit and integration testing;
  • A critical perspective regarding performance and security;
  • Focus on software quality, system evolution, problem decomposition, and abstraction;
  • Strong ability to learn new practices, technologies, programming languages, and engineering cultures;
  • Proficiency with Git or another collaborative version control system;
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis for software issues;
  • Ability to work in a team and help refine technical stories;
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases.
  • It is a plus if you have:
  • Experience with financial solutions;
  • Frontend knowledge for creating/managing portals for internal teams;
