Role Description The Transportation Operations Representative is responsible for executing daily operational tasks related to shipment management, customer and carrier communication, and system data accuracy. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, this role supports end-to-end transportation processes while adhering to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Execute daily transportation-related operational tasks in accordance with company policies and SOPs. - Create, activate, and manage transportation orders and shipments. - Build and assign loads within transportation management systems. - Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with carriers and customers. - Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time performance and issue resolution. - Provide shipment updates and transportation information to customers and carriers. - Monitor and respond to assigned email inboxes and task boards throughout the shift. - Document shipment events and update transportation systems accurately. - Complete invoicing functions and validate shipment/load data for accuracy. - Follow escalation procedures for service issues, delays, or complex requests. - Maintain strong communication with internal teams, carriers, and customers to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction. - Prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced operational environment supporting a high volume of customers. - Utilize customer-specific SOPs and workflows to support transportation operations effectively. - Collaborate with leadership and team members during overnight operations, with leadership support always available on shift. Qualifications - High school diploma or GED. - Previous customer service experience. - Ability to work evenings and/or weekends (for select roles). - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred). - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (preferred). - Prior customer service experience in a call center or similar environment (preferred). - Demonstrated communication, prioritization, and time management skills (preferred). - Prior experience working in a role requiring high attention to detail (preferred). - Commitment to and appreciation for a diverse and inclusive work environment (preferred).
