Job Description

Lead Engineer, PLC/DCS

PerkinElmer

• Provides subject matter expertise in design, implementation, and lifecycle management of automation systems • Develops full automation system architectures for biologics, pharmaceutical, and advanced therapy manufacturing facilities • Leads the creation, review, and approval of URS, FRS, and design documentation • Configures, programs, and deploys DCS /PLC modules, phases, recipes, and batch strategies • Supports 24/7 operations through troubleshooting and system optimization

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Engineering, or related discipline (OR equivalent work experience)
  • 4+ years in automation engineering within GMP life sciences
  • Expert-level experience with DeltaV DCS and/or Rockwell / Allen Bradley PLC/SCADA platforms
  • Strong understanding of ISA‑88 batch control, ISA‑95 manufacturing hierarchy, B ACnet, ISO 16484 and GAMP 5
  • Willingness to travel as required for client project assignments
