Job Description A permanent full-time position in a friendly, collaborative team covering a varied workload, with hybrid working options and competitive benefits. As well as being part of the dynamic International Networks & DTC business in EMEA (covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa), you will be part of an international legal community with access to a wide range of in-house training and development opportunities, events and knowledge-sharing resources. Responsibilities Part of the close-working International Networks & DTC Legal team in London, Paris and Madrid, this role has the following responsibilities: - Drafting and negotiating a broad range of contracts for Iberia and the wider EMEA business (e.g. channel distribution; programme acquisitions; ad sales, sponsorship and client partnerships; marketing services; and technical operations). - Advising the business on relevant matters of broadcast regulation (e.g. content ratings, protection of minors, European Works quotas, advertising rules etc.) and regulatory policy, coordinating with the Government Affairs and Content Compliance teams where required. - Supporting the Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel in liaising with relevant authorities (e.g., CNMC, Spanish AVMS registry) to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory obligations. - Advising internal stakeholders on programming rights and restrictions. - Supervising the Associate Legal Counsel, Madrid in coordinating, preparing and submitting regulatory filings, such as CNMC information requests, Socrates reports, Broadcasting and Investment Quota declarations, etc. - Working closely with the team's lawyers in London and Paris on ad-hoc matters as required. - Supervising and training the Associate Legal Counsel, Madrid as required. Qualifications The position requires a professional and motivated person with the following attributes: - Certified to practise law in Spain with around 5+ years' post-graduation legal experience and eligible to work in Spain. - Experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts essential. - Strong understanding of intellectual property rights. - Excellent communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail (in both Spanish and English language). - Flexibility and good interpersonal skills, with a proactive can-do approach and ability to work as part of a team across different business areas and jurisdictions. - Able to demonstrate a strong interest in media/intellectual property. - Fluent English language (written and spoken); knowledge of French is a plus. - A Master's degree in Intellectual Property or Audiovisual Law, together with experience of some of the above matters, is strongly preferred.
