EPIC Professional Billing Application Analyst III
UTHealth Houston
Role Description UTHealth Houston's Epic Operating Team is looking for an analyst who will work on the billing modules associated with our revenue cycle process. You will be responsible for the ongoing design, build, testing, validation, and support of any and all assigned Professional Billing (PB) modules across the healthcare system. - Works with operational stakeholders and IT technical staff to troubleshoot Epic system issues and problems. - Captures requirements for new initiatives and aids in the planning and execution of project plans. - Works with end users to help communicate improvements needed for business processes. - Contributes directly to the success of the UTHealth mission from a technological, clinical, administrative, and financial perspective. This role is remote, but we prefer employees to live in Texas. Qualifications - Certified in Epic Professional Billing (PB). - Familiarity with PB Claims and remittance is helpful. - Solid understanding of claims and billing workflows. Requirements - Maintains expertise and seeks additional knowledge in the support and optimization of assigned Epic module(s). - Works cohesively with stakeholders to provide system support including analysis, build, and testing of requested changes. - Reviews, builds, tests and implements new functionality via System Upgrades and Special Updates. - Manages multiple tasks independently. - Demonstrates timely, effective, and efficient troubleshooting of complex production software and workflow issues. - Acts as primary contributor in the development and documentation of internal procedures. - Helps develop build timelines and project plans. - Develops and maintains system documentation for ongoing support and maintenance. - Assists Application Director in developing build timelines and project plans. - Performs and oversees unit testing of application configurations and build. - Assists with creation of test scripts and ensures relevance and accuracy. - Performs testing in a structured manner and documents results. - Follows established guidelines for system change control. - Creates and maintains documentation for change management. - Collaborates across teams to ensure quality standards are met. - Independently performs basic project management activities. - Develops application-specific reports and provides technical assistance as needed. - Performs other duties as assigned.
