Role Description Ciena Communications, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Consultant, Field Service Project Management to lead and manage the successful delivery of field service projects, ensuring exceptional customer experience and efficient project execution. - Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of field service projects, from initiation to closing, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline. - Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a primary point of contact and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction (CX). - Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including customers and internal management, through clear and concise management reporting. - Negotiate project scope, timelines, and resources with customers and internal teams, demonstrating strong assertiveness when necessary. - Proactively identify and resolve project challenges and roadblocks using strong problem-solving skills. - Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and controlled. - Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, fostering strong interpersonal relationships and partnership management. - Drive decision-making processes to keep projects on track and resolve critical issues. - Oversee and ensure the quality and timely delivery of project deliverables. - Utilize technical acumen to understand project complexities and guide technical teams. Qualifications - Proven experience in project management, specifically within field service or a related technical domain. - Demonstrated expertise in Project Delivery, Project Budgeting, and Project Closing. - Exceptional assertiveness, communication, and interpersonal relationship skills. - Strong ability to drive Customer Experience (CX) and Customer Relationship Management. - Adept at Decision Making, Negotiation, and Problem Solving. - Experience with Management Reporting and Partnership Management. - Solid Technical Acumen relevant to Ciena's product and service offerings. Requirements - The annual pay range for this position is $96,900 - $154,700 USD. - Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations. - Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
