Role Description At Equitable, we help clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives. Equitable is looking for a motivated and passionate Regional Vice President (External Wholesaler) to join our Life Insurance team. This position will support Southern Florida and Puerto Rico territories. Spanish speaking a plus. This position will be focused on asset location and positioning Life Insurance as the tax-free bucket, 7702. The main focus of this role is to grow Equitable Life Insurance in the SE Complex. Responsibilities - The RVP is directly responsible for developing and maintaining consultative relationships with our Equitable Advisors Channel. - The RVP role is the Key Driver of revenue in their territory, including accountability for achieving and exceeding territory sales targets and territory management (APE). - Develop new producers while retaining existing producers to grow market share. - Educate and train advisors on Equitable’s Life products. This position offers a remote work arrangement plus up to 75% travel for business needs. Periodic office visits may be requested based on business needs. The base salary for this position is $80,000. Qualifications - 7+ years of Life Insurance industry experience. - Experience in Direct Sales of Life Insurance products. - Life and Health insurance licenses. - FINRA Series 6 & 63 registrations, active. - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Preferred Qualifications - FINRA Series 7 highly desired. - Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus. - Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills with good computer and organizational skills. Skills - Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality. - Financial Services Industry: Knowledge of financial services industry trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations and trendsetters; ability to provide specific financial advice to clients. - Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. - Knowledge of Sales Channels: Knowledge of meanings and features of sales channels; ability to coordinate multiple and diverse options for selling an organization's products and services. - Producing Results: Understanding of the criticality of getting things done in spite of current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes. - Prospecting: Knowledge of prospecting principles, processes and skills; ability to identify and engage potential customers in the market. - Territory Management: Knowledge of territory management practices, tools and techniques; ability to manage and maximize insurance business performance for one or multiple geographical area(s).
