Senior Director, Strategic Solutions – Sales, Clinical Trials
Elligo Health Research
• Develop and foster relationships with key decision-makers at biotech and pharmaceutical companies • Manage assigned territory by building a strong sales pipeline and advancing sales opportunities • Generate new leads and prospects through analysis of industry activity, conducting initial research, and phone contact • Vet-qualified sales lead from other sources, including inside sales, trade shows, referrals, etc. • Lead new business development efforts • Manage corporate meetings and exhibitions • Represent Elligo Health Research at local, national, and international meetings pertinent to public relations and future business development • Assist in mentoring Directors and Associate Directors within the Business Development team • Maintain relationships with customers by anticipating and identifying customer challenges to provide solutions, information, and guidance • Recommend new opportunities and profit and service improvements • Establish and maintain industry and customer contacts for continuing good relations and business opportunity development • Develop and maintain customer profiles including updating contacts management system • Maximize market penetration by ensuring ongoing understanding of Elligo Health Research services and market/industry trends • Develop account strategies for all appropriate customers • Maintain Quality Service and Departmental Standards by adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participating in the modification of company SOPs related to Business Development
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical/research site sales experience required
- 3+ years of clinical research experience preferred
- Operations experience in clinical trials preferred
- Thorough knowledge of research and pharmaceutical industry, terminology, and practices
- Proven ability in presenting and negotiating
- Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet demanding deadlines
- The ability to cold call is required.
