Data Scientist III – Affirmative Action Position for Women (Cis and Trans)

• Gather technical requirements and propose efficient data solutions, aligning data science with business objectives; • Define, design and implement data models to meet and exceed business area requirements; • Develop high-quality Data Science solutions, including supervised and unsupervised models, predictive models and deep analyses that address the company's primary challenges; • Independently execute all stages of the DS solution lifecycle (from understanding the business, studying and preparing features, to building and validating model performance); • Work at the technological forefront on projects involving Generative Artificial Intelligence, focusing on the creation of intelligent agents; • Collaboratively design and implement practical use and continuous monitoring of deployed models in partnership with business areas; • Assist in developing and maintaining data engineering pipelines, using best practices for organizing and optimizing workflows; • Develop secure, consistent and scalable solutions for data collection, transformation and quality assurance in data pipelines; • Investigate opportunities and propose new techniques while keeping technical documentation of solutions up to date; • Work horizontally and cross-functionally, showing genuine interest in understanding business processes and metrics; • Communicate effectively and concisely (oral and written), translating complex technical topics for different audiences and stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • SQL proficiency: Solid experience with the language, with strong preference for the GCP ecosystem (BigQuery);
  • Programming language: Practical development experience, preferably using Python;
  • Theoretical foundations: Strong knowledge of descriptive statistics, statistical inference and probability;
  • Machine Learning: Hands-on experience with supervised and unsupervised models, covering feature engineering, hyperparameter optimization, cross-validation, as well as interpretation and evaluation of performance metrics;
  • Analytical mindset: Analytical and creative thinking to propose solutions that meet different business needs;
  • Soft skills: Ease working in horizontal, cross-disciplinary teams, with excellent communication and a dynamic profile suited to rapidly changing environments;
  • Generative AI: Experience with generative AI solutions aimed at building virtual assistants is a plus;
  • DevOps and Cloud: Practical experience with code versioning tools (Git) and cloud environments is a plus;
  • Deployment culture: Experience deploying models to production is a plus;
  • Advanced experimentation: Knowledge in designing and evaluating experiments (A/B tests, multivariate tests, etc.) is a plus;
  • Data engineering: Knowledge of data ingestion technologies and strategies, as well as workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Luigi, Kubeflow) is a plus;
  • Integrations: Experience extracting data via third-party APIs (e.g., Google, Facebook, Salesforce) is a plus.
