Trade Compliance Analyst

Role Description The Trade Compliance Analyst – Brokerage Audit & Controls is responsible for supporting the company's import compliance program through the review, monitoring, and auditing of customs brokerage activities. This position serves as a critical control function designed to ensure the accuracy of customs declarations, support regulatory compliance requirements, identify and mitigate compliance risks, and strengthen audit readiness across the organization. Working closely with Trade Compliance, Customs Brokers, Supply Chain, Finance, and other business stakeholders, the analyst will perform detailed reviews of import transactions, monitor broker performance, investigate discrepancies, support Customs inquiries, and maintain compliance documentation to ensure adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and company policies. Primary Responsibilities - Control of HTS classifications, country of origin declarations, valuation data, free trade agreement claims, and other import-related data elements. - Monitor customs brokerage performance and identify trends, recurring errors, and process improvement opportunities. - Investigate import compliance discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. - Maintain audit-ready documentation supporting import transactions and compliance determinations. - Support broker management activities, including service reviews and performance evaluations. - Partner with Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations to improve compliance controls and transaction accuracy. - Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing compliance risk and strengthening internal controls. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Logistics, Finance, or 10+ years of experience in a related role. - Experience in import compliance, customs brokerage, logistics, supply chain, auditing, or regulatory compliance preferred. - Licensed Customs Broker. - Working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import processes preferred. - Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. - Experience working with SAP, trade compliance systems, or ERP platforms preferred. - Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills preferred. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
