Job Description

Technical Service Representative

Amcor

• Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities. • Understands customer requirements relating to problems to products and equipment. • Services customer equipment, where applicable, to maintain optimum performance of equipment, packaging films and shrink bag materials. • Identifies machinery and packaging film/shrink bag problems and ensures that they are properly communicated to the appropriate staff representatives. • Maintains accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization. • Performs and completes package/shrink bag and machine audits on packaging machines. • Participates in field trials of new packaging materials. • Assists in the installation and start-up of all packaging equipment manufactured and sold by Amcor. • Provides input, as requested, into the design, installation and start-up of packaging equipment manufactured by outside suppliers or RE&D. • Responsible for scheduling own time and travel and determining priority of customer calls. • Conducts training for the customers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment and Amcor film. • Assists on projects and may take the lead on smaller tasks within an overall project. • Works on special projects as assigned. • Establishes and maintains effective relations with customers, sales personnel and internal Amcor staff personnel. • Completes KMS reporting within 5 days, completes expense reports within a month of business trip and turns in weekly schedules within designated time frame.

Job Requirements

  • Technical Degree
  • 3-5 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery)
  • Willing to travel 60% or more and holds a valid driver’s license
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
